Hugh Tyrrell qualified in London, before moving to Shropshire, to work
in Shrewsbury and Bridgnorth. He then spent 8 years serving as an Army Dental
Officer in places as diverse as Belize, Saudi Arabia and Germany. He moved to
Dawley Dental Practice in 1993, and has guided it’s expansion and modernisation
over the years.
He specialises in oral surgery, cosmetic dentistry and replacement of missing teeth using implants. For over 15 years he has been a trainer on the NHS vocational training scheme mentoring newly qualified dentists in their first year.

Heiko Capper

Heiko Capper trained at Guys Hospital
and graduated in 1972. There he remained for another year working in Oral
Medicine and Immunology before taking on a position for two years as a general
dentist in American Military Hospitals. Thereafter he was commissioned into the
Royal Army Dental Corps serving for 17 years in many locations that included
Hong Kong, Brunei, Nepal, Belize, Germany and Northern Ireland. He was given
early retirement in 1994 whereupon he joined Dawley Dental Practice.
His particular interests have been in
the provision of quality crown and bridgework.
Now in semi retirement, currently
works 1 day per week.
Richard Williams

Richard qualified from Birmingham
University in 2000 after which he completed a year of foundation training here
at Dawley and has worked here as an associate dentist ever since. Richard is
now a foundation dentist trainer. Richard enjoys all aspects of dentistry but
particularly root canal treatment and cosmetic dentistry including Six Month
Smiles® short term orthodontic treatment for which he attended a further
training course. Although Richard does not place implants, he is able to
restore them and works closely with an implantologist in Shrewsbury. Outside of
dentistry, Richard is married with two children and enjoys playing/watching
football, running, golfing and sailing.
Natalie Walker

Natalie graduated from Birmingham
University in 2005 and went on to work in dental practices in London and
Wolverhampton before joining Dawley in 2007. Natalie particularly enjoys
cosmetic dentistry work including Six Month Smiles ®. Natalie also offers facial
rejuvenation treatments and started her BOTOX® training in 2010 at the Bob
Khanna Training institute, Reading. She then completed further courses in
BOTOX® and facial fillers with Midlands Smile Aesthetics Centres 2012/13.

Sarah graduated from the University
of Newcastle-Upon-Tyne in 1991. She joined Dawley in 2011 after a 20 year
career in the RAF dental branch. She has a special interest in Six Month
Smiles® and enjoys all aspects of general dentistry. In Sarah’s spare time she
enjoys spending time with her young family and is a member of the Military
Wives Choir.

Jenny qualified as a Dental Hygienist
at Birmingham Dental Hospital in 1984 and also has diplomas in Dental Health
Education and Dental Radiography. She joined the practice in 1994 and is
dedicated to all aspects of Dental Hygiene but especially the care and
treatment of nervous patients. Jenny is married with three grown up children
and 2 rescue greyhounds and enjoys teaching yoga and relaxation.

Jo joined the Royal Air Force and qualified in 1980.
She has worked at Dawley since 1994 and likes the caring, family orientated ethos of the Practice.
She is still very keen and motivated, enjoying the support and help from the ‘team’.

Claire is a Dental Hygienist and
Therapist who graduated from the University of Manchester Dental Hospital in
2012. She joined the team in Dawley on graduation and works on Wednesdays and
Thursdays. Claire works under the prescription of a dentist to provide a
variety of treatments. She has lots of experience working with children and
nervous patients. Claire is married with a young family and enjoys socialising
and travelling in her spare time.
Deborah Ponter
Receptionist
Deborah joined the practice in 2010
as a receptionist. She previously worked as a civil servant for 29 years. She
welcomes all of our patients with her friendly manner and strives to offer
excellent patient care. Deborah is the Denplan Champion for the practice. She
qualified in 2013 as a Swedish masseur level 3 VTCT. In her free time she
enjoys spending time with her family, swimming, skiing, walking her dog Ruben
and holidaying.
Katie Millward

Katie joined the practice in 2011 as
a dental nurse and qualified that year. She has additional skills in applying
fluoride, giving diet advice, oral health education and advanced impression
taking. Katie is also the Six Month Smiles® Co-ordinator at the practice
providing free consultations for patients. She now mainly works on reception
alongside Zoe and Deb. In her spare time she enjoys visiting new places and
socialising with her friends.

impression taking. She loves her role as dental nurse and especially enjoys

through their treatments. Megan has danced from a young age and now runs her
own street dance classes. She also enjoys travelling with her fiancé.

Hari joined the practice in 2013 as a
trainee dental nurse after she began nursing earlier in the year &
qualified February 2015. She enjoys assisting with surgical procedures and
helping put nervous patients at ease. In her spare time Hari writes her own beauty blog as well as running the Practice blog page, she is a keen musician and has travelled the world playing in
various competitions and performances in venues such as Carnegie Hall in New
York and The Royal Albert Hall in London.
Sam Glaze

Sam joined the practice in 2012 as a
trainee dental nurse & qualified April 2015. She enjoys assisting with all
general dentistry but particularly Six Month Smiles®. In her spare time Sam
enjoys socialising with her friends and spending time with her boyfriend and
pet parrot. Sam had her teeth straightened with Six Month Smiles. If you want

Charity joined the practice in
December 2014 as a trainee Dental Nurse. She is enjoying nursing with different

Charity has 3 Siamese cats that she
adores. In her spare time she enjoys socialising with friends and visiting
London with her boyfriend.
Jade Stracey

Jade joined the practice in February
2015, she qualified in 2010. She has worked alongside a number of specialists
since qualifying.
She has an interest in facial
aesthetics & radiography. Jade is currently enrolled on a radiography
course & an impressions taking course to further her skills as a dental
nurse.
Jade relocated to Shropshire 2 years
ago from Essex. She enjoys spending time with her husband & 2 pugs; Henry
and Edmund.
Rachel Tipton

Rachel joined the practice in March
2015, she qualified in 2012.
Rachel gains most satisfaction in her
role by assisting to restore people’s smiles which help improve their self
esteem. She also enjoys helping with facial aesthetics.
In her spare time she enjoys dancing,
reading, cycling & spending quality time with friends and family.
Our Qualified Dental Nurses, Katie, Zoe, Megan, Hari, Sam, Jade and
Rachel have many years of experience, and professional education, and are all
registered with the General Dental Council.
All of us have to complete considerable
amounts of annual ongoing continuing professional development courses to
maintain our registration. We are up to date and use our knowledge in our daily
professional practice.
